AU Small Finance Bank, India’s largest small finance bank, has launched four new credit cards designed for different customer groups — from first-time users to premium lifestyle spenders.
The Mumbai-based lender is expanding its retail banking business as it moves closer to becoming a Universal Bank after receiving in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
The bank says the new cards are designed around changing spending habits, digital lifestyles, and customer needs across both Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities.
Four New AU Credit Cards Explained
The newly launched portfolio includes:
AU Ananta Credit Card
AU Laksya Credit Card
AU Tejas Credit Card
AU Prathama Credit Card
Each card targets a different stage of a customer’s financial journey.
AU Ananta Credit Card for Premium Customers
The AU Ananta Credit Card is aimed at affluent and high-spending users.
It offers:
Reward points on travel, shopping, and dining
Complimentary airport lounge access
Travel insurance benefits
Milestone-based rewards
One of the biggest highlights is a unique lounge access feature. Customers can get complimentary airport lounge access even when booking tickets for family members or loved ones using the card.
The bank claims this is an industry-first feature focused on travel experiences instead of just reward points.
AU Laksya and Tejas Cards Target Young Professionals
The AU Laksya Credit Card is designed for Gen Z users and digitally active professionals.
It comes with:
Discounts on grocery and food delivery
Movie ticket offers
Lounge access
Reward points on contactless payments
The AU Tejas Credit Card focuses on young salaried individuals looking for everyday savings.
It offers cashback benefits on:
Cab rides
Grocery spending
Utility bill payments
These cards are aimed at users who prefer simple rewards linked to regular spending habits.
AU Prathama Card for First-Time Credit Users
The AU Prathama Credit Card is an entry-level card created for customers starting their credit journey.
It is targeted at people who are new to credit cards and want to build their credit history gradually.
This move shows AU Small Finance Bank is trying to attract customers from the very beginning of their financial journey and retain them as they grow.
More Rewards, Cashback and EMI Benefits
According to the bank, the new cards will offer rewards and cashback across categories such as:
Fashion
Grocery
Quick commerce
Entertainment
Travel
Bill payments
Customers will also get:
Welcome benefits
Reversible annual fees after meeting spending limits
No-cost EMI options on travel
Zero processing fee offers
AU Small Finance Bank says the focus is on making the cards more useful in everyday life instead of offering only traditional discounts.
AU Small Finance Bank Expands Its Retail Banking Push
The launch comes at a time when AU Small Finance Bank is aggressively expanding its retail banking presence.
As of March 31, 2026, the bank had:
Deposits worth Rs 1.52 lakh crore
