Weather across India has suddenly changed with the start of April.
Many states are facing storms, rain, and even hail, causing heavy damage to crops and daily life.
Earlier, it was expected that the weather would improve after April 6.
But now, India Meteorological Department has issued a fresh alert, warning that bad weather will continue.
Two Western Disturbances to Impact Weather
According to IMD, two western disturbances will be active together in north-west India this week.
Their effect will be strongest on April 7 and 8.
During this time, rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in around 12 states.
People, especially farmers, are advised to stay alert as strong winds and sudden weather changes may continue.
Weather Update for Delhi-NCR
In Delhi, light rain has already been seen in the past few days.
From April 6 to 8, the weather will remain partly cloudy.
Light to moderate rain is expected on April 7, along with strong winds of 30 to 50 km/h.
On April 8, there may be thunderstorms with light rain.
Uttar Pradesh: Heavy Rain and Hail Alert
In Uttar Pradesh, storms and rain have already caused damage in many districts.
Cities like Kanpur, Lucknow and Unnao have reported crop losses due to hailstorms.
IMD says bad weather will continue for the next 3 days.
Western UP may see storms on April 7–8, while eastern parts may get rain on April 8–9. Wind speed can reach up to 60 km/h.
Bihar: Strong Winds and Hailstorms
In Bihar, the impact of western disturbance is also visible.
Districts like Patna, Buxar and Supaul may face hailstorms and rain starting April 8.
Winds during this time can reach 50 to 70 km/h, making conditions risky.
Uttarakhand: Rain, Thunder and Snowfall
In Uttarakhand, light to moderate rain is expected for the next 72 hours.
Areas like Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh may see thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds of 40–50 km/h.
Higher areas above 3300 meters may also receive light snowfall.
Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan Alert
In Madhya Pradesh, hailstorms are likely on April 8, especially in western regions.
Cities like Indore and Jabalpur have already seen strong winds.
In Rajasthan, rain and hail have damaged crops in many areas.
IMD has warned of strong winds on April 6–7 and possible hailstorms in some regions.
Jharkhand: Thunderstorm Warning
In Jharkhand, cities like Ranchi, Giridih and Godda may experience thunderstorms, rain, and hail between April 6 and 8.
IMD has advised people to stay cautious during this period.
