Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana 

With this Small Savings Scheme from the Central Government, you can start an account anytime until your child is 10 years old.

To begin a Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account, you only need Rs 250. You can save up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year.

This account will stay open until your daughter is 21 years old. You can take out 50 percent of the money for her higher education when she turns 18.

The government also adds 8 percent interest to this plan every year. Additionally, you can get a benefit of tax exemption in Income Tax.

Girls Samriddhi Yojana 

This plan started by the Central Government is now managed by State Governments.

Balika Samriddhi Yojana was started for families living below the poverty line.

In this plan, they give Rs 500 when a daughter is born. Also, when she starts going to school, she gets a yearly scholarship.

The amount starts at Rs 300 and goes up to Rs 1000 each year.

Udaan CBSE Scholarship Program  

The Udaan (UDAAN) project was brought in by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and CBSE Board.

It aims to increase the number of girls joining engineering colleges. If you’re in 11th grade, you can get free online or offline coaching through this program.

Families with an annual income below Rs 6 lakh can reserve 3 percent of seats for their daughters.

National Scheme of Incentive 

The Central Government began this plan to encourage girls from the AC/ST category to continue their education and prevent them from leaving school early.

In this plan, girls who pass the 8th class and enroll in the 9th class receive an FD of Rs 3000. They can take out the money with interest after they turn 18 and pass the 10th class.

State Government Schemes 

Just like the Central Government, state governments also have plans for daughters. Some of these are in Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and West Bengal.

These plans cover everything from the birth of daughters to their higher education. Delhi’s Ladli Scheme, Bihar’s Mukhyamantri Kanya Suraksha Yojana, and West Bengal’s Kanyashree are examples of such plans.
