The BJP has introduced new faces in nine out of the 12 constituencies mentioned in this list, signaling a push to attract fresh support.

Thakur’s nomination is seen as a strategic move to appeal to young voters and strengthen the party’s presence in the Mithilanchal region, where Alinagar is considered a key battleground.

Thakur’s Vision and Other Key Candidates

Speaking after her induction, Thakur said, “I am very impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Other notable candidates in the second list include:

Anand Mishra, former IPS officer, from Buxar

Virendra Kumar from Rosra

Chhoti Kumari from Chhapra

Two sitting MLAs are seeking re-election: Ramchandra Prasad (Hayaghat) and Birendra Kumar (Rosera).

Meanwhile, BJP has denied tickets to some current MLAs, including Gyanendra Singh Gyanu (Barh), CN Gupta (Chhapra), and Kusum Devi (Gopalganj).

New Faces and Key Battles

Other new candidates in this list include Ranjan Kumar, Subhash Singh, Kedarnath Singh, Siyaram Singh, Mahesh Paswan, and Rakesh Ojha.

Alinagar, where Maithili Thakur is contesting, saw a VIP battle in the previous election.

Similarly, Baniapur (Kedar Nath Singh) and Agiaon (Mahesh Paswan) are also constituencies with notable contests from the last assembly election.

The BJP’s strategy seems to focus on mixing fresh faces with experienced politicians, aiming to attract both youthful energy and established political support in key constituencies.
