Passengers planning to fly from Noida International Airport (Jewar) may have fewer options for the next few months.

Akasa Air has temporarily suspended its flights on the Noida–Navi Mumbai route, and direct bookings to Bengaluru are also currently unavailable.

The airline says these changes are temporary and are based on operational and passenger demand.

Why Were the Flights Suspended?

According to reports, the main reason behind the suspension is low passenger demand.

Sources say that both Noida International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport currently lack direct metro or rapid rail connectivity.

As a result, most passengers have to rely on taxis to reach the airports.

The high cost of taxi travel has reportedly discouraged many travelers, leading to lower passenger numbers and making it difficult for the airline to operate these routes profitably.

Flights Started Just Last Month

Commercial flight operations at Noida International Airport in Jewar, Greater Noida, began on June 15.

A day later, on June 16, Akasa Air launched its daily QP 2017 service connecting Noida International Airport with Navi Mumbai International Airport.

However, the route has now been temporarily suspended due to weak demand.

Mumbai Flights Continue, Return Planned in October

While the Navi Mumbai service has been paused, Akasa Air has added two daily flights to Mumbai.

One flight departs at 2:10 PM, while the second leaves at 9:05 PM, giving passengers more travel options on the Mumbai route.

The airline has clarified that the Noida–Navi Mumbai route has not been permanently discontinued.

According to the company, flights on this route are expected to resume from October 1, 2026.

Akasa Air said it regularly reviews its flight network based on customer demand, weather conditions, operational requirements, and aircraft availability.

As a result, some routes and schedules may be adjusted from time to time.
