If you are worried about a shortage of petrol, diesel, or cooking gas due to global tensions, there is good news.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clearly said that there is no need to panic.

The government has assured that India has enough fuel reserves.

All refineries are working at full capacity, and crude oil stocks are sufficient.

People are advised not to believe rumors or rush to petrol pumps.

Avoid Crowds, Buy Only What You Need

The government has requested citizens to stay calm and avoid panic buying.

There is no need to stand in long queues at petrol pumps or book gas cylinders in advance.

India’s energy system is strong, and supply will continue without disruption.

Even though global situations may seem tense, the country is fully prepared to meet public demand.

Easy Access to Small Gas Cylinders

To make things easier, the government has simplified the process of buying 5-kg gas cylinders.

Now, you only need to show an ID at the nearest gas agency—no address proof is required.

This step is especially helpful for people living on rent or those who don’t have proper documents.

Since last month, around 5.7 million small cylinders have already been sold.

Digital Booking and Fast Delivery at Record Level

Under the Digital India initiative, gas booking has become faster and easier.

About 95% of LPG bookings are now done online.

In fact, in just one day, around 5.1 million LPG cylinders were delivered across the country.

This shows how strong and efficient the supply system is.

The government is also encouraging people to use alternatives like PNG, induction stoves, and electric cooktops to reduce pressure on traditional fuels.

PNG Connections Growing Rapidly

The use of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) is also increasing. Since last month, gas connections have been provided to over 3.5 lakh new homes.

At the same time, around 3.8 lakh people have applied for new connections.

This shows a growing shift towards cleaner and more convenient energy options.

Safe Fuel Supply Despite Global Tensions

Fuel supply through sea routes is also running smoothly.

The LPG vessel Green Sanvi recently crossed the Strait of Hormuz safely, carrying 46,650 metric tons of gas along with 25 Indian sailors.

Currently, 17 Indian ships with around 460 sailors are active in the Persian Gulf region.

The government is closely monitoring their safety to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply.

Indians Returning Safely from Affected Regions

The situation for Indians abroad is also improving. Since February 28, around 6.75 lakh passengers have returned safely to India.

In one incident in Abu Dhabi, five Indians were injured.

Out of them, four have recovered, while one is still under treatment.

Indian missions are actively helping citizens and coordinating with local authorities.

India’s Energy Position Remains Strong

The government has made it clear that India is in a strong position when it comes to energy.

Fuel imports and supply chains are running smoothly despite global pressure.

People are advised to ignore rumors and use fuel wisely.

Adopting alternative energy options will also help reduce pressure and support the country’s growth.
