Booking train tickets online could soon become much easier.
Indian Railways is preparing to launch a brand-new IRCTC website that promises a faster, cleaner, and more user-friendly experience.
According to reports, IRCTC has already developed a beta version of the new website.
It has been reviewed by senior railway officials and students from MNIT Jaipur.
A few bugs have been identified, and once they are fixed, the public beta version could be released by July 15.
What’s New in the IRCTC Website?
The upcoming IRCTC website will remove many of the problems passengers currently face.
The new platform will have no advertisements or unnecessary graphics, making it cleaner and quicker to use.
The captcha process has also been simplified, reducing the time needed for logging in and completing payments.
Another major improvement is seat availability.
Instead of checking Sleeper, AC, and other classes one by one, passengers will be able to view seat availability for all classes on a single screen.
This will make it much easier to compare options and book tickets quickly.
Faster Ticket Booking Experience
IRCTC has also redesigned the ticket booking process to reduce the number of steps required.
This means passengers will be able to complete their bookings much faster than before.
Frequent travelers will benefit even more, as their passenger details will be saved on the website.
They won’t have to enter the same information every time they book a ticket, saving both time and effort.
The Railway Board says these improvements are aimed at making online ticket booking smoother and more convenient for everyone.
Public Beta May Arrive by July 15
Reports suggest that the public beta version of the new IRCTC website could be launched by July 15.
This version will allow users to test the platform before the final version is officially released.
If any technical issues are found during public testing, they will be fixed before the website becomes available to all users.
What Is a Beta Version?
A beta version is an early version of a website or software that is released for testing.
It allows users to try new features while developers identify and fix technical problems, also known as bugs.
Once the testing is complete and the issues are resolved, the final stable version is released for everyone.
