Tata Motors has launched its latest range of passenger and electric vehicles (EVs) in Sri Lanka, further expanding its global footprint.
The leading Indian automaker, in collaboration with its partner DIMO, introduced a variety of new models in the country.
The launch event featured popular SUVs like the Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, and Tata Curve, along with the electric hatchback Tiago.EV.
Tata Motors Enters the Sri Lankan Market
Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, expressed excitement about entering Sri Lanka.
He stated, “Tata Motors has undergone major transformations in recent years, and there’s no better way to re-enter the market than with a game-changing product lineup.”
He further emphasized that these new models are designed to meet the needs of Sri Lankan customers, offering bold designs, advanced features, top-notch safety, and excellent after-sales service.
Growing Popularity in Nepal and Bhutan
Tata’s Tiago.EV has already gained popularity in India, Nepal, and Bhutan, making electric mobility more accessible and desirable.
Rajiv Pandithage, Executive Director of DIMO, shared his excitement about continuing the partnership with Tata Motors, highlighting that Tata is the first passenger vehicle brand to enter Sri Lanka since the market reopened.
Warranty Details
All Tata Motors passenger vehicles will come with a standard manufacturer warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km.
Meanwhile, electric models will have a three-year or 1,25,000 km warranty. Additionally, the EV’s high-voltage battery and motor are covered for eight years or 1,65,000 km.
