Samsung has increased the price of its newly launched Galaxy M47 5G in India just one week after its debut.

The smartphone went on sale on July 4, but buyers visiting Amazon now will have to pay much more than the launch price.

The phone is currently selling for ₹7,000 to ₹8,000 more than its original launch price, surprising many customers.

New Samsung Galaxy M47 5G Price

Samsung launched the Galaxy M47 5G with a starting price of ₹25,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant. During the launch offer, buyers could get it for an effective price of ₹22,999.

Now, the same model is listed on Amazon for ₹32,999, which is ₹7,000 higher than the launch price and ₹10,000 more than the launch offer price.

The 8GB RAM + 128GB variant, which was available at an effective launch price of ₹25,999, is now selling for ₹36,999.

Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant, which was offered at ₹30,999 during launch, is now priced at ₹41,999. This means some variants have become up to ₹8,000 more expensive in just a few days.

Why Has the Price Increased?

In recent months, several smartphone brands, including Nothing, Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi, have increased the prices of some of their devices.

Many companies have blamed rising memory chip and component costs for these price hikes.

However, Samsung’s case is different because the Galaxy M47 5G was launched only a week ago. Industry experts believe the company was already aware of production costs when it announced the launch price.

Because of this, many believe the lower launch price may have been a limited-time promotional offer rather than the phone becoming more expensive due to higher manufacturing costs.

Samsung has not yet released any official statement explaining the sudden price increase.
