Netflix has brought back its popular free trial offer after nearly six years. The company has confirmed that new users in select countries are once again getting free access to the streaming service.

The offer is not available for everyone yet. If your account, device, and location are eligible, the free trial option will appear automatically when you sign up.

Free Trial Available for Eligible New Users

According to Netflix, only eligible new members can claim the free trial. If you don’t see the offer while creating your account, it means your account is currently not eligible.

A report by Gadgets 360 says that some users have seen a “Try 30 days for ₹0” offer while creating a new account with a fresh email address.

Interestingly, not everyone is getting the same offer. While some users receive a 30-day free trial, others are being offered only 15 days. This suggests Netflix is testing different promotional offers for different users.

Why Netflix Brought Back the Offer

Netflix stopped its free trial program globally around 2020. Before that, it allowed new users to explore its library of movies, TV shows, and original content without paying.

The return of the free trial may be an effort by the company to attract more subscribers and encourage new users to try the platform before purchasing a subscription.

How to Check if You Can Get the Free Netflix Trial

Follow these simple steps to see if you’re eligible:

Visit the Netflix website or open the Netflix app.

Create a new account using an email address that has never been used on Netflix.

During sign-up, look for a “Try 30 days for ₹0” or “15-day free trial” offer.

Choose your preferred subscription plan.

Add a valid payment method such as a debit card, credit card, or UPI.

Complete the registration process.

Start watching Netflix during your free trial period.

Don’t Forget to Cancel Before the Trial Ends

Netflix enables AutoPay by default. This means your selected subscription plan will automatically renew and your payment method will be charged once the free trial ends.

If you only want to use the free trial and do not wish to continue with a paid subscription, make sure to cancel your membership before the trial period expires.
