Passengers travelling by train in Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal should check their train status before leaving for the station.

The South Eastern Railway has announced a rolling block in the Adra Railway Division from June 9 to June 14 for track maintenance and repair work.

As a result, several trains have been cancelled, while the routes and schedules of some others have been modified.

The decision is expected to affect thousands of passengers during this period.

8 Trains Cancelled on Different Dates

To carry out the maintenance work safely, the railway has cancelled several MEMU trains on selected dates.

The affected trains include:

68061/68062 Adra–Asansol–Adra MEMU – Cancelled on June 11

The following trains will be short-terminated or short-originated:

18116/18115 Chakradharpur–Gomo–Chakradharpur Express – Will run only up to Mahuda on June 9, 12, and 14

These changes may lead to longer travel times for some passengers.

Route Changed for Tatanagar–Hatia Express

The railway has also changed the route of Train No. 18601 Tatanagar–Hatia Express on June 9 and June 13.

Instead of running on its regular route, the train will travel via:

Chandil

Gundabihar

Muri

Passengers planning to travel on these dates should take note of the revised route and check for any schedule changes.

Why Is the Railway Making These Changes?

The rolling block has been planned to carry out essential track maintenance and repair work in the Adra Division.

Such maintenance is important for improving railway safety, ensuring smoother operations, and reducing the chances of technical issues in the future.

While the temporary disruptions may cause inconvenience, the work is aimed at improving the overall travel experience for passengers.

What Should Passengers Do?

Railway officials have advised passengers to verify the latest status of their trains before starting their journey.

Checking train schedules in advance can help avoid unnecessary delays, confusion, and last-minute travel problems.

If you are travelling between June 9 and June 14, make sure to confirm whether your train is running normally, partially, or has been cancelled before heading to the station.
