BMW has recently launched the second generation of its popular M2 model in India, offering it at a starting price of Rs 98 lakh (ex-showroom).
This two-door sports coupe comes in a single variant with an automatic gearbox as the standard option, although a manual gearbox is also available as an option.
The new BMW M2 is being imported to India through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route.
Powerful Performance with a Signature Engine
Under the hood, the second generation BMW M2 is equipped with a 3.0-litre straight six engine, which is the same engine found in the M3 and M4 models.
This impressive engine generates 460hp and 550Nm of torque.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Thrilling Speed and Advanced Features
According to BMW, the new M2 can achieve a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 4.1 seconds (with the automatic gearbox), and it has a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour.
Additionally, the M2 comes with standard adaptive front suspension, ensuring a dynamic and comfortable driving experience.
Enhanced Comfort and Stylish Design
The India-spec BMW M2 comes with a range of standard features, including the Comfort Access System, Powered Seats with Memory Function, M Seat Belts, Adaptive LED Headlamps with High Beam Assist, Harman Kardon Sound System, BMW Connected Package, Wireless Charging, and 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and 20-inch alloy wheels at the rear, both sporting a silver finish.
The M2 offers a choice of five paint shades, namely Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Toronto Red, and Zandvoort Blue.
Inside the cabin, buyers can opt for Black or Cognac shades, while BMW M Sport seats with aluminum highlights on the dashboard come as standard.
Cutting-Edge Infotainment and Compact Design
The new BMW M2 features a 14.9-inch curved display for infotainment and a 12.3-inch instrumentation display with M-specific graphics.
In terms of dimensions, the M2 is 219mm shorter in length than the M4, measuring 4,575mm from bumper to bumper. However, it is still 114mm longer than the previous generation M2.
In the Indian market, the new BMW M2 will compete with the Porsche 718 Cayman, offering thrilling performance and sporty design.
