The Paisabazaar Paisaback Credit Card offers up to 7.5% cashback on eligible grocery purchases, making it an option for customers who regularly spend on platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto and other grocery stores.
Federal Bank and Paisabazaar have launched the card on the RuPay network. Apart from grocery spending, the card also provides cashback on selected POS, e-commerce and UPI transactions.
Paisabazaar Paisaback Credit Card offers 7.5% cashback
The biggest attraction of the card is its cashback on eligible grocery purchases. Customers can earn up to 7.5% cashback on eligible grocery transactions made online or offline.
The listed eligible platforms and stores include Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, DMart, Reliance Fresh, Star Bazaar and Nature’s Basket.
However, the maximum grocery cashback is capped at ₹1,000 per month. This means customers cannot earn more than ₹1,000 in monthly cashback from eligible grocery purchases, even if their spending qualifies for a higher amount.
Cashback available on other spending
The card is not limited to grocery purchases. Eligible POS and e-commerce transactions can earn 1% cashback.
Customers can also receive 0.5% cashback on certain eligible UPI transactions above ₹2,000. However, grocery, fuel and travel transactions are excluded from this UPI cashback benefit.
The card also provides a fuel surcharge waiver of up to ₹100 in every billing cycle. Cashback earned through the card is credited to the customer’s account in the form of Cash Points.
Annual and joining fee of the card
The Paisabazaar Paisaback Credit Card carries a joining fee of ₹500 and an annual fee of ₹500.
The annual fee can be waived if the cardholder spends at least ₹1.5 lakh in a year. Customers should therefore check whether their regular annual spending is likely to reach this threshold before choosing the card.
It is also important to check which transactions qualify for the annual spending requirement, as not every type of transaction may necessarily be counted.
How much cashback can you earn on groceries?
For example, if a customer makes eligible grocery purchases worth ₹10,000 in a month, a 7.5% cashback rate would result in approximately ₹750 cashback.
If eligible grocery spending reaches around ₹13,333 in a month, the calculated cashback at 7.5% would be about ₹1,000. This reaches the card’s maximum monthly grocery cashback limit.
The actual benefit will depend on whether the transactions meet the card’s eligibility conditions and cashback rules.
