India’s largest telecom company, Reliance Jio, has made a big change for its users. The company has removed the free JioCinema benefit from all its mobile plans.
Previously, both prepaid and postpaid users could access JioCinema for free. However, JioCinema has now merged with Disney+ Hotstar to create Jio Hotstar.
Since JioCinema is no longer a separate platform, Jio has discontinued offering it as a free benefit in its plans.
While JioCinema was available for all users, it did not include JioCinema Premium.
Benefits Still Available with Jio Plans
After the introduction of Jio Hotstar, Jio users now get only two additional benefits with their mobile plans:
JioTV – An OTT platform where users can watch live TV and purchase a premium subscription for access to multiple OTT platforms.
JioCloud – A cloud storage service for saving and managing files online.
If you want a free Jio Hotstar mobile subscription, you will now have to choose specific Jio recharge plans.

Jio offers a free Jio Hotstar subscription with the following prepaid plans:
Jio ₹195 Plan
Validity: 90 days (3 months)
Data: 15GB high-speed data
Additional Benefit: Free Jio Hotstar subscription for 90 days
Jio ₹949 Plan
Validity: 84 days
Calling: Unlimited calls
Data: 2GB per day
SMS: 100 SMS per day
Additional Benefit: Free Jio Hotstar subscription for 3 months
If you want to continue enjoying Jio Hotstar, you will need to recharge with one of these plans.
