Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has recently upgraded the safety features of its vehicles.
As part of the update, all models now come equipped with 3-point seatbelts and seatbelt reminders for every seat.
The brand has also made Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and Hill Assist Control (HAC) standard features on Venue and higher models, including the N Line range consisting of i20 and Venue.
Additionally, the Creta, Ioniq 5, and Alcazar models now offer 6 airbags as a standard safety feature.
Previously, the Tushaw and Kona Electric had 6 airbags, while the Venue had 4 airbags as standard.
Furthermore, the Grand i10 Nios and Aura models now include 4 airbags as standard, making them the first in their segment to offer this safety feature.
The recently launched Verna also comes with 6 airbags as a standard feature.
Hyundai has upgraded the Creta and Alcazar with various active and passive safety features, such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and rear disc brakes.
Hyundai is also introducing the Advanced Driver Aids System (ADAS) in three of its models: Verna, Ioniq 5, and Tucson.
It is anticipated that the upcoming facelift versions of Creta and Alcazar will also incorporate ADAS.
Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India, commented on the update, stating, “Customer safety is our top priority, and we have always been at the forefront of standardizing safety features.
At Hyundai, we continuously strive to enhance safety standards across our product lineup.
As per the Government of India’s directive, we have upgraded our entire model range to include 3-point seatbelts and seatbelt reminders as standard offerings.
We are confident that these standardized safety features will provide better protection to our customers.”

Hyundai is always known for their rigid car body and high engine performance. With recent announcement of advanced safety features including 6 Airbags and 3 point Seatbelts, Hyundai cars are safer than ever.
