Punjab National Bank (PNB) has teamed up with fintech company Kiwi to make digital payments easier for its 180 million customers.
Kiwi is known for offering “credit on UPI,” which means users can make payments using credit even if they don’t have money in their bank account.
As part of this partnership, PNB will launch the PNB Kiwi Credit Card on the RuPay network. This card will allow customers to pay via UPI quickly and easily.
Easy Payments with Cashback Benefits
This credit card will be completely digital and directly linked to UPI apps. Users can make smooth and instant payments without carrying a physical card.
Another benefit is cashback. Customers can get 0.5% to 1.5% cashback on online transactions.
This means users not only get convenience but also save money while spending.
Fully Digital Card with Zero Fees
Applying for this card is simple and can be done online from home.
There is no paperwork involved, which makes the process fast and hassle-free.
The biggest advantage is that the card comes with no joining fee and no annual fee, making it affordable for everyone.
Focus on Rural and Semi-Urban Growth
PNB is also aiming to expand digital credit access across India.
According to Executive Director Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, digital payments are growing fast, and UPI plays a major role in this growth.
The bank has more than 10,000 branches, with around 60% located in rural and semi-urban areas.
Through this wide network, PNB plans to provide easy credit access to people who have not used formal banking services before.
