Motorola, a brand known for offering great features at affordable prices, is gearing up to launch a new product called the Moto Tag.
This tracking device is designed to help users locate lost items, directly competing with Apple’s AirTag.
The Moto Tag has recently received certification from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), revealing some key technical details.
Technical Specifications
The Moto Tag will feature Bluetooth LE connectivity and will be powered by a 3V battery (CR2032) with a capacity of 210mAh.
Interestingly, this is the same battery used in Apple’s AirTag, which typically lasts between 12 to 18 months. The model number for Motorola’s tracking device is XT2445-1.
Launch Details
While specific launch details are not fully disclosed, the Moto Tag has also appeared on UAE’s TDRA certification platform,
indicating a launch in the UAE market.
Motorola, which first entered this market in 2017, is set to reintroduce its tracking device with the new Moto Tag.
It is anticipated that the Moto Tag will be priced competitively, likely lower than the Apple AirTag.
