If you use an LPG gas cylinder at home, this update is important for you. The government has asked all LPG consumers to complete their eKYC process.
According to reports, customers who fail to complete eKYC by August 16 may face issues while booking gas cylinders and using other LPG-related services.
If you haven’t completed your eKYC yet, it’s better to do it now instead of waiting until the last minute.
Why Is LPG eKYC Important?
A nationwide LPG eKYC campaign is currently underway. Gas agencies are informing customers through SMS, phone calls, and notices to complete the process before the deadline.
If your eKYC is not updated by August 16, you may experience problems with cylinder bookings, subsidy-related services, and other LPG benefits.
Who Should Complete LPG eKYC?
You should complete your LPG eKYC if:
You have not updated your LPG KYC for a long time.
You recently changed your mobile number, address, or other personal details.
Your gas agency has sent you an SMS or called you asking to complete eKYC.
What Happens If You Miss the Deadline?
Without a completed eKYC, your gas agency may not be able to update your customer records.
This could affect:
LPG gas cylinder booking
LPG subsidy services
Other benefits linked to your gas connection
To avoid service interruptions, complete your eKYC before the deadline.
How to Complete LPG eKYC Offline
The easiest method is to visit your LPG gas agency.
Carry your Aadhaar card and LPG consumer details. The agency staff will verify your Aadhaar information
and, if required, complete the process using biometric authentication (fingerprint). Once verified, your eKYC will be updated.
How to Complete LPG eKYC Online
You can also complete eKYC through your gas company’s official website or mobile app, such as Indane, Bharat Gas, or HP Gas.
Go to the eKYC/KYC Update section and enter your LPG consumer number, registered mobile number, and Aadhaar number.
If OTP verification is available, enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to complete the process.
Documents Required for LPG eKYC
Keep these documents ready before starting the process:
Aadhaar card
LPG consumer number or gas passbook
Mobile number linked with Aadhaar
Identity proof (if requested)
Address proof (if required)
If your mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, update it first to avoid OTP verification issues.
Important Things to Remember
Complete your LPG eKYC before August 16 to avoid last-minute rush at gas agencies.
Always use the official gas company website, mobile app, or your authorized gas agency for the process. Never share your OTP, Aadhaar details, or bank information with unknown people.
After completing eKYC, make sure to confirm that your details have been successfully updated.
