Indian smartphone brand Lava has launched its new budget smartphone, the Lava Smart 4, in India.
The phone joins the recently launched Lava Smart 4 Plus series and is aimed at users looking for an affordable smartphone under ₹10,000.
The Lava Smart 4 comes with Android Go Edition, a 90Hz display, a 5000mAh battery, and expandable RAM. It will be sold through offline retail stores across the country.
Android Go and Expandable RAM
The Lava Smart 4 runs on Android Go Edition, which is designed for entry-level smartphones. It supports Google Go apps that use less storage, consume less data, and work smoothly even with limited RAM.
The phone comes in a single 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. It also supports 3GB of virtual RAM, giving users an effective 6GB RAM experience for smoother multitasking.
Display, Processor and Battery
The smartphone features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and daily use feel smoother than many other budget phones.
It is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A octa-core processor with a PowerVR GE8322 GPU for graphics.
The Lava Smart 4 packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. Thanks to Android Go’s lightweight software, the battery is expected to last up to two days on normal usage.
Camera and Expected Price
For photography, the phone offers an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Lava has not officially announced the price yet. However, the smartphone is already available through offline stores and is expected to be priced at around ₹8,000. The company is expected to reveal the official pricing soon.
