If you use WhatsApp, many tasks are about to get simpler. The company has announced several updates that will make the app more convenient and give users more personalization options.
Now, you can share live or motion photos, create custom themes and backgrounds with AI, scan documents directly in the app, and search groups more easily.
Share Live and Motion Photos
Android users will now be able to share motion pictures, while iPhone users can share Live Photos.
Earlier, WhatsApp only allowed sending regular photos, but this new update adds more flexibility.
Create Custom Themes and AI Backgrounds
WhatsApp already supports chat themes, but now you can design your own. Options include minimalist, artistic, or playful styles.
In addition, AI can generate unique backgrounds for chats and video calls. This feature is being rolled out gradually, so it may take some time before it reaches all users.
In-App Document Scanning
Android users are getting the ability to scan documents directly within WhatsApp. After scanning, you can crop, save, or share the document instantly.
This feature was already available to iOS users but is now coming to Android as well.
Easier Group Search
Finding the right group can be tough if you’re part of too many. To solve this, WhatsApp is adding a smarter search option.
Just type a contact’s name in the search bar, and the app will show all the groups you share with that person.
