Tata Motors has officially confirmed the electric version of its iconic Sierra SUV.
The launch is expected in the second half of FY2026-27, around the festive season.
The Sierra EV will be built on Tata’s Acti.EV platform and will sit above the Nexon EV and Curvv EV, while being positioned below the Harrier EV.
The expected price range is ₹20–25 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it directly in competition with models like the Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, and BE 6.
Retro Design with a Modern Electric Twist
The Sierra EV will bring back the classic Sierra identity, but with a modern electric design upgrade.

Closed-off front grille for EV styling

Some reports also suggest a larger 75 kWh option
It may be offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants.
Performance expectations include:
Power output between 166 HP to 238 HP
ARAI-claimed range of up to 500 km
DC fast charging from 20% to 80% in about 25 minutes
