Central Railway to Run 54 Special Trains for Ashadhi Yatra 2026

There is good news for devotees planning to visit Pandharpur and Miraj for the Ashadhi Yatra this month.

To handle the expected rush, Central Railway has announced 54 special train services between July 22 and July 29, 2026.

Along with these special trains, a daily unreserved Pune–Miraj Special Train will also run during the pilgrimage, giving passengers more travel options.

Bookings for the special trains have already started from July 1.

54 Special Trains for Ashadhi Yatra

According to Central Railway, the special trains will operate from July 22 to July 29 to help devotees travelling to the Lord Vitthal temples at Pandharpur and Miraj.

The additional services have been introduced to manage the heavy passenger rush during the annual Ashadhi Yatra.

Passengers are advised to check the complete train schedule before planning their journey.

Daily Pune–Miraj Unreserved Train Schedule

Central Railway has also introduced a daily unreserved special train that will run from July 23 to July 29.

Train No. 01207 (Pune–Miraj) will leave Pune at 8:40 am and reach Miraj at 6:45 pm on the same day.

Train No. 01208 (Miraj–Pune) will depart Miraj at 7:30 pm and arrive in Pune at 4:30 am the next day.

The train will stop at several stations, including Hadapsar, Uruli, Daund, Jeur, Kurduwadi, Modnimb, Pandharpur, Sangola, Jat Road, Vasud, Kavthe, Mhasoba Dongargaon, Langarpeth, Arag, and Belanki, making travel easier for pilgrims from different regions.

How to Book Tickets

The Pune–Miraj Special will run as an unreserved train with 12 General Second Class coaches, one luggage-brake van, and two Second Seating-cum-Guard Brake vans.

Passengers can book unreserved tickets through the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System).

The fare will be the same as that charged for unreserved travel on Mail and Express trains.

Unreserved tickets can also be booked using the RailOne mobile app.

Book Early to Avoid Last-Minute Rush

Central Railway has advised passengers to book tickets only through authorised platforms such as IRCTC, RailOne, or the UTS system.

Since bookings opened on July 1, devotees planning to travel during the Ashadhi Yatra are encouraged to reserve their seats early and check the latest schedules through official railway channels before starting their journey.
