Acer, renowned for laptop manufacturing, has taken a bold step into the electric mobility sector with the launch of the Acer MUVI 125 4G electric scooter in the Indian auto market.
This marks Acer’s maiden foray into the electric scooter segment, and they have entered the market through a partnership with the Indian electric mobility platform, eBikeGO.
While eBikeGO will be responsible for the scooter’s design and manufacturing, Acer will oversee the technological aspects.
The significant aspect of this launch is the scooter’s budget-friendly price, coming in at less than Rs 1 lakh.
Pricing of Acer MUVI 125 4G
With the official launch, Acer has also unveiled the price tag for its electric scooter. The Acer MUVI 125 4G is priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).
The company has plans to commence pre-bookings for the electric scooter in the near future.
Unveiling at EV India Expo 2023
The first glimpse of the Acer MUVI 125 4G electric scooter was showcased at the Electric Vehicle India Expo 2023 held in Greater Noida in September of this year.
During the event, Acer highlighted the scooter’s distinguishing feature – a swappable battery that allows users to remove and charge the battery with ease.
Battery Features
The electric scooter is equipped with a 48V 35.2Ah battery pack, providing a range of 80 kilometers on a single charge. It attains a top speed of 75 kilometers per hour.
Acer claims that the scooter’s battery can be fully charged within 4 hours, and as it features two battery packs, users have the flexibility to use one while the other charges.
Design and Features
In terms of design, the Acer MUVI 125 4G electric scooter exhibits a futuristic appearance with a lightweight chassis and 16-inch wheels.
To enhance ride quality, the scooter includes a shock absorber system in the rear with a hydraulic fork. Customers can choose from three different color options: black, white, and grey.
From a technological standpoint, customization is possible through both Android and iOS platforms.
The scooter is equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled 4-inch LCD screen, which offers three configuration options to provide users with a seamless experience.
The introduction of Acer into the electric scooter market adds an interesting dimension to the evolving electric mobility landscape in India.
