There is important news for millions of Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) members.
EPFO is upgrading its digital system to make services faster, safer, and more efficient.
As part of this upgrade, several online services will remain unavailable from June 26 to June 28, 2026.
If you are planning to withdraw PF money, apply for an advance, or submit any claim, it is advisable to complete the process before the services go offline.
No New PF Claims Can Be Filed During This Period
According to EPFO, many services on its portal will be temporarily suspended from 12:00 AM on June 26 until 11:59 PM on June 28, 2026.
During these three days, members will not be able to submit new PF withdrawal claims, advance claims, or other online requests.
Claim processing services will also be affected as EPFO carries out database consolidation and system upgrades.
The organisation has said that all services are expected to return to normal from June 29, 2026.
Which EPFO Services Will Be Affected?
The biggest impact will be on online claim-related services. Members will not be able to:
Submit new PF withdrawal claims
Apply for PF advances
File other online claim requests
Access certain claim processing services
However, claims submitted before the upgrade period will not be cancelled.
EPFO has clarified that pending applications will be processed according to the normal procedure once services resume.
Alternative Ways to Check PF Details
Even though the main portal will be unavailable, members can still access basic account information through alternative channels.
EPFO has advised members to use:
UMANG App
SMS Service
WhatsApp Service
Missed Call Service
Using these platforms, members can check their PF balance, passbook details, and claim status.
Those with a registered mobile number can also get account information through EPFO’s missed call facility.
Complete Urgent Work Before June 25
Experts recommend that members who need urgent PF withdrawals or claim settlements should submit their applications before June 25 to avoid delays.
EPFO has been continuously improving its digital infrastructure over the past few years.
The organisation believes that this latest upgrade will help speed up claim settlements and provide a smoother online experience for members in the future.
While the temporary shutdown may cause some inconvenience, the changes are expected to make EPFO services more reliable and efficient in the long run.
