EPFO pensioners do not have to visit an office to check whether their pension has been credited.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provides online facilities that allow pensioners to check their pension status, payment details and credit information.

The process can be completed online using the EPFO portal with a few simple steps.

How to Check EPFO Pension Status Online

Pensioners can follow these steps to check their pension payment status:

Visit the official EPFO website.

Open the Pensioners’ Portal.

Select the “Know Your Pension Status” option.

Enter your PPO number, office code and office ID. These details are available on your pension documents.

Click on “Get Status” to view the available pension payment details.

The status page can provide information about the payment, including the credit date and processing status.

Pension Status Can Also Be Checked Through UMANG

Pensioners have another convenient option through the UMANG app.

Open the app on your mobile phone and search for EPFO services. From there, pensioners can use the available services to track their pension details.

Pensioners can also check their bank account or passbook linked to their pension to confirm whether the payment has been credited.

EPFO Releases August Pension Early for Kerala Pensioners

EPFO recently announced an early pension payment for pensioners under the Keralam Zone.

The organisation credited the August 2026 pension to 4,40,901 pensioners on August 26, ahead of the Onam festival.

Normally, the monthly pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995 is paid towards the end of the month.

However, EPFO made special arrangements to release the pension early because of the upcoming Onam celebrations.

The move was intended to help pensioners and their families manage their financial needs and celebrate the festival without inconvenience.

Pension Directly Credited to Bank Accounts

According to EPFO, the pension was transferred through the Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS).

The system enables pensions to be transferred directly and efficiently into beneficiaries’ bank accounts across the country.

Pensioners can therefore check their bank account, passbook or the EPFO online portal to confirm their latest pension payment.
