Email is a part of our daily life, whether for work or personal chats.
But sometimes, we send an email too quickly and make mistakes—like sending it to the wrong person, forgetting an attachment, or leaving the message incomplete.
Luckily, Gmail has a handy feature that lets you fix these errors immediately.
Undo Send: Stop Your Email Before It’s Too Late
Gmail’s Undo Send feature pauses your email for a few seconds after you click Send.
During this short period, you’ll see an Undo option on your screen.
Clicking it stops the email from going out and opens it back in Drafts.
From there, you can fix typos, add missing attachments, or correct the recipient’s address.
Extend the Undo Time for Better Control
By default, Gmail gives only a few seconds to undo a sent email, which may not be enough.
But you can extend this time in Gmail settings.
Go to Settings → Undo Send and choose the maximum time available.
This gives you more control and ensures you have enough time to catch mistakes.
Works on Your Phone Too
Undo Send isn’t just for computers—it works on smartphones as well.
After sending an email, a small message appears at the bottom of the screen with Sent and an Undo button.
Tap it immediately, and your email is stopped before it reaches the recipient.
Remember, this option is only visible for a few seconds.
Why You Should Use It
Even small email mistakes can cause big problems.
Undo Send is a simple feature that gives you a second chance, helping you fix errors instantly and avoid unnecessary trouble.
