If you use an Airtel prepaid SIM, this update is important. Airtel has discontinued its cheapest unlimited prepaid recharge plan in some circles.
As a result, many users will now have to spend more for similar benefits.
The ₹299 plan has been removed in the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand circles.
It is no longer available on Airtel’s official website or the Airtel Thanks app.
₹299 Plan No Longer Available
The ₹299 prepaid plan was introduced last year after Airtel revised its tariffs. After remaining available for nearly a year, the company has now withdrawn it.
The change first came to light through reports shared on social media. Soon after, users noticed that the plan had disappeared from Airtel’s website and app.
₹349 Is Now the Cheapest Unlimited Plan
With the ₹299 plan gone, the ₹349 recharge has become Airtel’s most affordable unlimited prepaid option in these circles.
The ₹349 plan offers:
2GB high-speed data per day
Unlimited voice calling
100 SMS per day
28 days validity
This means customers now have to pay ₹50 more than before to get unlimited benefits. Airtel is also bundling extra perks such as music and entertainment subscriptions with the new plan.
Budget Users Will Feel the Impact
The biggest impact will be on users looking for a low-cost unlimited recharge. Students, daily users, and budget-conscious customers will now have to spend an extra ₹50 every month.
While the additional entertainment benefits may appeal to some users, those who only need affordable calling and data may find the higher recharge cost difficult to manage.
