If you are tired of recharging your mobile number every few weeks or months, BSNL has an annual prepaid plan that could be worth checking out.
The government telecom company is currently offering 47 days of extra validity with its Rs 2,399 prepaid plan.
This limited-period offer can give users service for more than a year with a single recharge.
Along with extended validity, the plan also includes daily data, unlimited calling and free SMS.
BSNL Rs 2,399 Plan: What Do You Get?
Normally, the BSNL Rs 2,399 prepaid plan comes with 365 days of validity.
However, under the current offer, customers get an additional 47 days of validity. This takes the total validity to 412 days, which is roughly 13.5 months.
The plan also provides 2GB of high-speed data every day. Once the daily 2GB limit is used, internet access continues at a reduced speed of up to 40 Kbps.
For calling, users get unlimited local and STD calls to any network.
The plan also includes 100 free SMS per day, making it suitable for users who want most of their basic telecom needs covered in one recharge.
Extra 47 Days Offer Is Available for a Limited Time
The additional validity is not a permanent benefit.
BSNL has announced that the 47-day extra validity offer is available until September 12, 2026.
Therefore, customers who want to take advantage of the offer need to recharge by this date.
After the offer period ends, the plan may return to its regular validity and benefits.
How Does BSNL Compare With Jio and Airtel?
BSNL’s annual plan also stands out when compared with similar plans from major private telecom operators.
Reliance Jio offers an annual plan with 365 days of validity and 2GB daily data for Rs 3,599. Jio also provides access to 5G data under the plan, but its price is Rs 1,200 higher than BSNL’s Rs 2,399 plan.
Airtel also has an annual recharge costing Rs 3,599, offering 365 days of validity and 2GB data per day.
This means BSNL’s plan costs considerably less than the comparable annual plans from Jio and Airtel, although network coverage and service availability can vary by location.
Is the BSNL Rs 2,399 Plan Worth It?
For users who mainly want long validity, daily data, unlimited calling and SMS, the BSNL Rs 2,399 plan can be an attractive option.
The extra 47 days make the offer even more interesting. However, the key point to remember is that this additional validity is available only for a limited period, until September 12, 2026.
