If you have an account with Punjab National Bank (PNB) and use a debit card, this update is important for you. The bank has changed the daily ATM withdrawal limit for many of its debit cards.

This step has been taken to improve customer security and promote digital banking. The new rules will come into effect from April 1.

According to a notice on the bank’s website, PNB is continuously working to reduce risk and make customer transactions safer. Because of this, the daily ATM withdrawal limit for several debit cards has been reduced.

This means you may not be able to withdraw as much cash in a single day as you could earlier.

However, there is no change in the limits for transactions made through e-commerce platforms or contactless payments. Those limits will remain the same.

Customers can set or reset their ATM withdrawal limits (within the new limits fixed by the bank) through internet banking, the PNB One app, IVR, or WhatsApp banking.

New ATM Withdrawal Limits for Different Debit Cards

PNB has divided debit cards into two main categories under the new rules. Here are the details in simple terms:

First Category: New Limit ₹50,000 Per Day

Some debit cards that earlier allowed withdrawals up to ₹1 lakh per day will now allow only ₹50,000 per day.

These cards include:

RuPay NCMC Platinum Domestic Debit Card

RuPay NCMC Platinum International Debit Card

RuPay Women Power Platinum Debit Card

RuPay PNB Palash Debit Card (Recycled PVC)

RuPay Business Platinum NCMC Debit Card

Mastercard Platinum Debit Card

Visa Gold Debit Card

PNB Mastercard Platinum Rise

Second Category: New Limit ₹75,000 Per Day

Some premium debit cards have also seen a reduction in their withdrawal limit. Earlier, these cards allowed withdrawals up to ₹1.5 lakh per day. Now, the limit has been reduced to ₹75,000 per day.

These cards include:

RuPay Select Debit Card

PNB RuPay Select Excel

Visa Signature Debit Card

Mastercard Business Debit Card
