Searching online, planning trips, or even writing emails is about to get a lot easier.

Google has added a new Gemini AI assistant to the Chrome browser.

This assistant can browse websites, click links, and perform tasks for users automatically—a feature called “Auto Browse.”

With Gemini, users don’t even need to open Gmail to draft emails.

Chrome can now act as a smart AI agent, handling tasks like shopping, comparing prices, or planning trips for your family.

What Can Gemini AI Do for You?

According to Google, Gemini AI can help with a wide range of everyday tasks:

Booking appointments and filling online forms

Collecting tax documents and checking bills

Getting quotes from plumbers or electricians

Managing subscriptions and renewing driver’s licenses

Writing emails or planning trips by comparing airline and hotel options

Google emphasizes that Gemini is part of its broader effort to integrate AI into all its products.

It can even use your Google data—from Gmail, Search, Photos, and YouTube—to give personalized suggestions when you activate the “Personal Intelligence” feature in Chrome.

In some cases, Gemini can sign in on websites for you using Google Password Manager, making tasks faster and hassle-free.

Currently, the Auto Browse feature is available for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the US.

Nano Banana and Chrome’s New Interface

Alongside Auto Browse, Google is introducing its image generation tool, Nano Banana, directly into Chrome.

This AI is designed to never make final decisions without your permission.

Chrome’s interface is also getting an update.

A persistent panel on the right side will keep Gemini accessible at all times, even as you browse different websites.

What This Means for Other AI Browsers

With Chrome adding these AI tools, competitors like OpenAI’s Atlas and Perplexity’s Comet could face challenges.

Since most people already use Chrome, having Gemini built-in reduces the need to switch to another AI browser.

This update could make Chrome an even stronger platform for AI-driven productivity.
