Redmi has officially launched the Redmi Note 17 5G in India. It is the first smartphone in the Redmi Note 17 series to arrive in the country.
The Indian version comes with almost the same specifications as the model that was introduced in China a few weeks ago.

Big Display, Massive Battery and Long Software Support
The Redmi Note 17 5G features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming.
The screen also offers up to 1,800 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and HydroTouch 2.0 technology, which improves touch response even when your fingers are wet.
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Users can also expand the storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Redmi promises four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, making it a good choice for long-term use.
One of the biggest highlights is the 8,000mAh battery. According to the company, it can last up to 2.5 days on a single charge. The phone supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Camera, Durability and Cooling
For photography, the Redmi Note 17 5G comes with a 50MP primary rear camera along with a secondary sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera for video calls and selfies.
The smartphone also has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Redmi has included a large vapor chamber cooling system to help keep the device cool during gaming and heavy usage.
Redmi Note 17 5G Price, Offers and Sale Date
The Redmi Note 17 5G is priced at ₹27,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 128GB model costs ₹30,999.
Customers can get an instant discount of up to ₹3,000 when using SBI, Axis Bank, or Kotak Bank credit cards.
The smartphone will go on sale from August 12 through Amazon and Xiaomi’s online store. It will be available in Arctic Blue, Dark Night, and Starlight Purple colour options.
