IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert for Many States from Jan 29 to 31

The monsoon season this year was very strong, and many parts of India received heavy rainfall. After the monsoon, several states started experiencing severe cold, while some states are still getting good rainfall.

In 2025, all previous rainfall records were broken, and heavy rains are also expected in 2026. Now, the weather pattern in the country is changing again.

Because of this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert for many states on January 29, 30, and 31.

Weather Update in Kerala

Kerala was the first state to receive the monsoon, and heavy rain started there early. Even after the monsoon, rainfall has not stopped in the state. Kerala has been experiencing continuous heavy rain since the beginning of the season.

Now, the weather in Kerala is expected to change further. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall on January 29, 30, and 31. Along with this, several districts are also under a strong wind alert during this period.

Weather Situation in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu also received heavy rainfall during the monsoon season, and the rains are still continuing in many areas. Now, the weather in the state is expected to change further.

According to the Meteorological Department, Tamil Nadu may experience heavy rain on January 29, 30, and 31. There is also a warning of dust storms in many regions during this time.

Heavy Rain Alert in Other States

Weather conditions across the country are changing rapidly. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on January 29, 30, and 31. Snowfall is also expected in many areas of these states.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on January 29, 30, and 31. Heavy rain is also likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana during the same period.

Rain is expected in Delhi, Bihar, Sikkim, and Chhattisgarh on January 29. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall may also occur in Rajasthan and Karnataka on January 29, 30, and 31.

Additionally, a heavy rain alert has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Puducherry, Rayalaseema, Mahe, Karaikal, Lakshadweep, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on January 29, 30, and 31.
