Growing Demand, But Profits Are a Challenge

Even with rising demand, quick commerce companies are finding it hard to make profits.

Blinkit reported 134% growth in Q4 of FY25 but still lost ₹178 crore. Swiggy Instamart lost ₹840 crore while expanding its store network.

Who’s Leading the Market?

As per ICICI Securities, Blinkit and Instamart’s market share grew from April to June 2025. Blinkit’s gross order value rose by 25%, Instamart’s by 22%, while the whole sector’s growth stayed below 20%.

Zepto Losing Ground

Meanwhile, Zepto is facing challenges. Its daily active users (DAUs) dropped from 5.5 million in December 2024 to 4.9 million in June 2025.

In comparison, Blinkit’s DAUs increased to 6.2 million, and Instamart’s new app reached 1.1 million DAUs in June.

With Amazon Now launching in Delhi, the quick commerce race has become even tougher.
