With Raksha Bandhan just around the corner, the Postal Department has made special arrangements to ensure that rakhis reach brothers safely and on time.
The Rampur Bushahr Postal Division has introduced special booking facilities and waterproof envelopes to make sending rakhis easier for sisters.
The department has also advised people to book their rakhis early to avoid last-minute delays.
Special Rakhi Booking Counters on August 26
Special Rakhi booking counters will be set up on August 26 at the main post offices and sub-post offices under the Rampur Bushahr Postal Division.
These counters will help customers book rakhis and gifts quickly and with less waiting. Those who need faster delivery can also use the Speed Post service.
According to Dinesh Prakash, Superintendent of the Rampur Bushahr Postal Division, booking rakhis in advance will help avoid heavy rush and ensure timely delivery.
Waterproof Envelopes for Safe Delivery
The Postal Department is also offering waterproof rakhi envelopes at post offices. These envelopes are designed to protect rakhis from damage during transit, especially when being sent to other states or remote areas.
The initiative aims to make sure every rakhi reaches its destination safely.
Raksha Bandhan on August 28
Raksha Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the bond of love and trust between brothers and sisters. Even when families live far apart, the Postal Department plays an important role in delivering this special connection.
This year, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 28, and the department’s special arrangements are expected to help thousands of sisters send their rakhis without worry.
