Xiaomi has launched its first electric SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, designed to offer both performance and comfort.
This electric SUV can travel up to 835 km on a single charge. It also has a top speed of 253 km/h. Below, we explain all the important features, power, and range of the Xiaomi YU7.
Xiaomi YU7 Price
The official price of the Xiaomi YU7 will be revealed in July 2025, as the car will be available then. It will come in three color options: Emerald Green, Titanium Silver, and Lava Orange.
Xiaomi YU7 Battery and Range
The Xiaomi YU7 is offered in three variants.
The standard model comes with a 96.3 kWh battery that gives a CLTC range of 835 km, the highest in its 100 kWh SUV category.
The Pro model also has a 96.3 kWh battery but supports four-wheel drive, offering a range of 760 km.
The Max model uses a 101.7 kWh battery and also supports four-wheel drive, providing a range of 770 km.
It uses 800V silicon carbide technology (peaking at 897V), supporting 5.2C fast charging.
This allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes and gives up to 620 km range in 15 minutes of charging.
Xiaomi YU7 Power and Performance
The YU7 features a HyperEngine V6s Plus, which delivers 690 PS of power and 528 Nm of torque, reaching up to 22,000 rpm.
This helps the SUV go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.23 seconds. Its top speed is 253 km/h. The use of segmented magnetic steel increases motor efficiency, adding 4 km to the CLTC range.
Xiaomi YU7 Safety Features
Built on the Modena platform, the YU7 uses a strong steel-aluminum hybrid body with ultra-high-strength steel rated at 2200 MPa.
The structure was developed using over 24 million AI simulations and 4,000 physical tests.
Key safety features include a 659 mm front crumple zone, 1500 MPa underbody crossbeam, and a bulletproof battery cover that is 10 times stronger than PVC.
The car has passed over 50 crash tests by C-NCAP and C-IASI, including rear impact tests at 90 km/h.
As for size, the YU7 measures 4999 mm long, 1996 mm wide, and 1600 mm tall, with a 3000 mm wheelbase.
Its design features a 3:1 wheel-to-body ratio, 2.1:1 wheel-to-height, and 1.25:1 width-to-height, giving it a sporty and stylish appearance.
