If you’re on a long journey and craving your favorite food, Zomato has made that possible!
The popular food delivery platform has partnered with IRCTC to allow users to order food during their train journeys.
Once you place an order through the app, the food will be delivered right to your coach at the designated station.
According to Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, this collaboration ensures that passengers can enjoy food delivery straight to their seats.
If you’re traveling and want to try a special dish from a particular city, Zomato makes it easy.
So far, the platform has successfully delivered over 10 lakh orders at more than 100 railway stations.
Feedback from Users
Users shared mixed reactions to the announcement. One asked how Zomato would handle food deliveries if trains run late.
Another suggested adding a cash-on-delivery option in case of delayed trains or missed deliveries.
In a lighthearted response, a user joked about whether the delivery agent would shout “Chai-Chai” when delivering tea.
Variety of Food Options for Passengers
IRCTC, while resharing Zomato’s post, assured passengers that this partnership will ensure quality food delivery and enhance the travel experience.
Currently, Zomato delivers food in 88 cities, and now this service will be available at 100 stations, giving passengers more options during their journey.
