Zomato’s quick commerce platform, Blinkit, has introduced a new app called Bistro, promising to deliver snacks and other food items within 10 minutes.
This launch intensifies competition in the quick food delivery space, particularly with Zepto Cafe, which recently announced plans to roll out its own dedicated app.
Currently, the Bistro app is available for download on the Android Play Store, but it is not yet accessible on the Apple App Store.
Bistro offers quick delivery of ready-made snacks like samosas, sandwiches, coffee, and pastries, competing directly with platforms like Zepto Cafe and Swiggy Bolt.
Zomato’s 10-Minute Delivery Journey
Bistro represents Zomato’s second attempt at 10-minute food delivery, following its earlier venture with Zomato Instant.
Over the past three years, companies in the quick commerce sector, including Blinkit
and Zepto, have expanded beyond groceries into delivering items like medicines, apparel, and ready-to-eat food.
