YouTube has introduced a new 2025 Recap feature that brings together all the videos users watched throughout the year in a fun and unique way.
This feature is similar to popular year-end summaries like Spotify Wrapped or Apple Music Replay, but YouTube has made it more personal.
It turns your entire watch history into a shareable highlight reel.
The recap includes 12 story-style cards that show details such as your favorite creators, video genres, and even your viewing personality type based on your watch habits.
YouTube explained that this recap is fully customized and highlights the content users explored the most during the year.
What the Recap Shows
The recap features the channels and creators you watched the most, along with the genres you were most interested in. It offers a fun look at your online habits over the year.
YouTube has also released its 2025 Trends Charts, showing what content was most popular in the US.
MrBeast continues to be the most popular creator, while The Joe Rogan Experience remains the top podcast.
Easy Access and Global Availability
Using the recap is simple. Users just need to go to the “You” section of the YouTube mobile app
and tap the recap banner, or directly open the recap page. Once logged in, their personal 2025 recap is ready and can also be downloaded.
The feature has already launched in the US and will be available worldwide within a few days.
It works on both mobile and desktop, and a dedicated recap button will soon appear on the YouTube homepage.
This new feature not only helps users understand their interests better but also encourages more engagement on the platform.
With this personalized experience, YouTube aims to stay ahead of its competitors and increase its popularity.
