What’s New in EPFO 3.0?
Here are the major changes under EPFO 3.0:
PF Withdrawal via ATM: Members will be able to withdraw money directly from ATMs. The claim processing will become quicker and fully digital.
Auto Claim Settlement: Claims that earlier required manual approval will now be automatically processed, saving members a lot of time.
Digital Corrections: Updates to name, bank account, or Aadhaar details can now be done online using OTP verification, without visiting any office or filling out forms.
Pension Tracking & Withdrawal: Members can now check pension details and even withdraw pension money from the comfort of their homes, ending the need to visit PF offices.
What’s Changing for Pensioners?
EPFO 3.0 brings added convenience for 78 lakh pensioners:
They can now receive pension in any bank account across India.
Earlier, pensioners had to open an account in zonal banks—this requirement has now been removed.
Will There Be a New EPFO App?
Yes, a mobile app similar to those used in banking is in the works. According to Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, this app will offer:

View of pension fund details
Tracking of contributions from previous jobs

When Will EPFO 3.0 Launch?
The official launch of EPFO Version 3.0 is expected by May or June 2025. Once live, all EPFO services will become faster, fully digital, and user-friendly.
