Private sector YES Bank has launched a special salary account for working women ahead of International Women’s Day.

The bank said that this account is designed to meet women’s financial needs along with their lifestyle and health requirements.

Through this account, the bank aims to provide several features on a single platform so that women can manage their savings, security, and investments more easily.

Launch of YES Essence Women’s Salary Account

According to news agency Press Trust of India, the bank has named the new account YES Essence Women’s Salary Account. It has been specially created for working women.

The bank said that this account will offer financial security, healthcare services, lifestyle benefits, and wealth creation opportunities in one place.

The main goal of this initiative is to help women become financially empowered and make their everyday financial needs easier to manage.

Special Benefits Available on One Platform

This account provides several special benefits for women customers.

For example, the bank will provide a free locker facility for the first year, allowing customers to safely store important documents and valuables.

In addition, customers will receive a top-up health insurance cover of ₹5 lakh for one year, which can help them manage expenses in case of a medical emergency.

Account holders will also get one free preventive health check-up every year. According to the bank, this feature is intended to encourage women to stay aware of their health and go for regular medical check-ups.

Cashback and Lifestyle Benefits with Debit Card

Customers who open this salary account will also receive an Elegance Debit Card from the bank.

With this debit card, customers can get up to 5% cashback on spending in selected categories. The maximum cashback limit has been set at ₹6,000 per year.

Apart from cashback, the card will also offer lifestyle benefits, which can help women save extra money on everyday shopping and other expenses. The bank said that these features are meant to provide a better and more rewarding banking experience.

Forex Card Fraud Case Reported Recently

Recently, the bank also reported a case related to its multi-currency prepaid forex card.

According to the bank, unauthorized transactions worth about US$280,000 (around ₹25 million) were detected. This forex card had been issued in partnership with BookMyForex.

The bank said that these transactions were carried out using cards linked to specific BIN numbers.

Suspicious Transactions at Foreign Merchants

The bank reported that these suspicious transactions took place early in the morning on February 24, 2026. The transactions were made at 15 different merchants located in a Latin American country.

However, the bank’s monitoring and control systems managed to stop many of these transactions in time. In total, 688 unauthorized transaction attempts were blocked, preventing losses of about US$100,000.

Bank Strengthening Security Systems

After the incident, the bank said it is strengthening its security systems to prevent similar cases in the future.

The bank also stated that it continuously upgrades its monitoring systems to protect customer interests.

At the same time, the launch of the new salary account for women is part of its strategy to provide specialized banking solutions for different customer groups.
