Yes Bank customers are in for a surprise as the bank introduces new regulations regarding airport lounge access on its credit cards.
Following in the footsteps of other major banks like HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, and SBI Card, Yes Bank has announced revised conditions for accessing domestic airport lounges through its credit cards.
Revised Criteria for Lounge Access
Starting from April 1, Yes Bank credit cardholders will need to meet a minimum spending requirement of Rs 10,000 or more in a calendar quarter to enjoy complimentary lounge access.
This means that spending in the preceding quarter will determine access for the subsequent quarter.
Quarterly Spending Requirement
For instance, to avail complimentary lounge access in the April-June 2024 quarter, cardholders must have spent a minimum of Rs 10,000 between December 21, 2023, and March 20, 2024.
Similarly, to utilize the domestic lounge facilities in the January-March 2024 quarter, a minimum spending of Rs 10,000 between September 21, 2024, and December 20, 2024, is required.
This spending threshold must be met in each quarter to maintain lounge access privileges.
Additional Changes
Supplementary lounge access will also be subject to the same minimum spending criteria of Rs 10,000 or more in a calendar quarter, with no alterations in the number of accesses permitted.
Yes Bank has communicated these revised rules to its cardholders via email, ensuring transparency about the changes in domestic lounge access policies.
These adjustments align with the evolving landscape of credit card benefits, emphasizing the importance of meeting spending thresholds for availing perks such as airport lounge access.
