Xiaomi has launched a new budget smartphone in partnership with Qualcomm, named Redmi A4 5G.
This phone was showcased at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024 and is powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 mobile platform, making it the first phone in India to feature this chipset.
The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is a 4nm SoC (system on a chip), which is expected to boost performance and provide better 5G connectivity for entry-level smartphones in India.
The Redmi A4 5G comes with a 50MP rear camera and a secondary camera, though the details of the second camera haven’t been revealed yet.
This smartphone also includes a 3.5mm audio jack, a feature many users appreciate.
Special Features of Redmi A4 5G
The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset enables several advanced features. It supports a 90fps FHD+ display and includes a dual 12-bit ISP for better camera performance.
Additionally, it has a powerful modem for Gigabit 5G connectivity and supports dual-frequency GNSS (L1 + L5), including NAVIC, which enhances location accuracy.
Xiaomi has teased more features for this phone, but they haven’t been fully disclosed yet.
Expected Price of Redmi A4 5G
Xiaomi has not revealed the exact price of the Redmi A4 5G, but the company has hinted that it will be priced under Rs 10,000, making it an affordable option for users looking for a 5G smartphone. The phone is expected to launch in India soon.
