In a recent announcement on Wednesday, X introduced a cost-effective basic paid tier exclusively for verified organizations.

Priced at $200 per month or $2,000 annually, the Basic tier offers verified organizations a gold check-mark badge and additional benefits, making it more accessible compared to the full access plan priced at $1,000 per month.

Affordable Plans for Small Businesses

X highlighted that subscribers opting for the new tier will receive ad credits and priority support to enhance their experience on the platform.

This move is seen as an effort to cater to small businesses by providing an affordable plan, possibly in response to the platform’s challenge in attracting businesses to opt for the more expensive plan.

Headlines Return on URL Cards

In a surprising turn of events, after removing headlines from URLs on X, the platform has now reintroduced them in a different manner.

Headlines and website titles are now visible above images that link to respective pages. This reversal follows X’s decision to stop showing headlines last year.

Elon Musk explained that this change is aimed at improving the visual appeal of posts.

In November of the previous year, it was announced that headlines would reappear on URL cards in an upcoming release, and the recent development seems to fulfill that promise.

Audio-Video Calls Rollout on X

The eagerly awaited Audio and Video Calling feature has finally begun its rollout on X. Users can now make calls through X, similar to platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram.

Initially available to iPhone users, the feature is expected to reach Android users soon.

However, it’s worth noting that this feature is exclusive to Premium users, meaning those with a Blue Tick can enjoy the facility of making audio-video calls.

The functionality mirrors that of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, providing a seamless and integrated communication experience within the X platform.
