Bajaj Auto has launched the world’s first CNG bike, the Freedom 125, in the Indian market.
The bike comes in three variants, starting at Rs 95,000.
It features a single switch for seamless transition between CNG and petrol without stopping the bike. The launch event was graced by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.
The Freedom 125 is available in 7 dual-tone colors and boasts several powerful features.
Features of Freedom 125 CNG
The Freedom 125 CNG is designed with strong features for enhanced comfort and style. It has the longest seat in its segment, a robust trellis frame, linked monoshock, and LED headlamps.
The bike’s exterior showcases a dual-color graphic design, adding to its aesthetic appeal.
Powertrain and Performance
The bike is equipped with a 125cc engine, a 2 kg CNG tank, and a 2-liter petrol fuel tank.
It offers a mileage of up to 330 km. The engine produces a maximum power of 9.5 PS at 8000 RPM and a torque of 9.7 Nm at 6000 RPM.
The linked monoshock enhances stability and riding dynamics, while a protective cage around the CNG tank ensures safety.
The seat is 780 mm long, providing ample space and comfort for the rider.
Pricing and Availability
The Freedom 125 CNG is available in three variants: Freedom 125 NG04 Disc LED, Freedom 125 NG04 Drum LED, and Freedom 125 NG04 Drum.
The base variant is priced at Rs 95,000, the mid variant at Rs 1.05 lakh, and the top variant at Rs 1.10 lakh.
Bookings have started, and the bike will be available in different cities in a phased manner.
Initial deliveries of the Freedom 125 NG04 Disc LED will begin in Maharashtra and Gujarat, with other variants following gradually.
