Ladki Bahin Yojana: Women Must complete e-KYC to Keep Rs 1,500 Aid

Under the Maharashtra government’s Chief Minister Ladki Bahin Yojana, women between the ages of 21 to 65 years receive ₹1,500 per month as financial assistance.

To be eligible, the family’s annual income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh.

The money is transferred directly to the woman’s bank account, but now an e-KYC (Electronic Verification) through the Aadhaar card has been made mandatory.

e-KYC Process and Deadline

The e-KYC process began on August 17 and must be completed within two months. If not completed, the monthly funds will stop being credited.

This rule was introduced because around 26 lakh (2.6 million) beneficiaries were found to be inaccurate.

e-KYC will help ensure that only genuine and eligible women get the benefits.

Warning Against Fraud

The government has also warned beneficiaries about fraud. Many fake websites are trying to cheat women by offering false e-KYC services.

Therefore, women must complete e-KYC only on the official website.

Currently, about 2.25 crore (22.5 million) women are receiving support under this scheme.

Completing e-KYC on time will not only guarantee continued financial assistance but also protect women from online fraud.
