The government provides financial support to farmers through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which benefits millions of farmers across India.
Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 every year, which is directly transferred to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each.
Recently, the government released the 22nd installment of the scheme. In this installment, ₹2,000 has been transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers.
However, many farmers have reported that the amount has not yet been credited to their accounts.
What to Do If the 22nd Installment Has Not Arrived
There can be several reasons why the ₹2,000 installment has not reached a farmer’s account. Common issues include incomplete e-KYC, problems linking Aadhaar with the bank account, or incorrect bank details.
If you have not received the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, there is no need to worry. Farmers can check their payment status online and also file a complaint if required.
Reasons Why ₹2,000 May Not Reach Your Account
If a farmer has not received the 22nd installment, the following reasons could be responsible:
e-KYC not completed: The government has made e-KYC mandatory for the PM Kisan scheme. If this process is incomplete, the payment may stop.
Aadhaar not linked with the bank account: If Aadhaar is not connected to the bank account, the amount cannot be transferred.
Incorrect bank details: Entering the wrong bank account number or IFSC code can stop the payment.
Incomplete land verification: If land records are not verified, the installment may remain pending.
How to Check the PM Kisan Installment Status
Farmers can easily check whether their installment has been credited by following these steps:
Visit the official website of PM-Kisan Official Website (pmkisan.gov.in).
On the homepage, go to the Farmers Corner section.
Click on the “Know Your Status” option.
Enter your registration number or Aadhaar number.
The screen will display the complete status of your installment, showing whether the payment has been transferred or is still pending.
Why e-KYC Is Important
The government has made e-KYC compulsory for farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. If e-KYC is not completed, the installment payments may be stopped.
Farmers can complete e-KYC in two ways:
OTP-based e-KYC: This can be done from home using a mobile phone.
Biometric e-KYC: Farmers can visit the nearest CSC (Common Service Center) to complete the process.
