Weather to Change in North India Between February 13 and 19

The cold wave in North India is slowly ending, and temperatures are gradually increasing. At the same time, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a new rain and thunderstorm alert for several states.

IMD Issues Rain and Thunderstorm Alert

According to the IMD, thunderstorms and rain are expected in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.

In the hilly states, snowfall and strong winds are likely over the next 24 hours. Weather conditions may change significantly between February 13 and February 19.

In Delhi-NCR, the sky is expected to remain cloudy. Because of the clouds, mornings and evenings may feel slightly chilly. A warning for thunderstorms and rain has been issued for the period after February 15.

Weather Update for UP and Bihar

In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the weather is expected to remain mostly normal. However, light fog may occur in parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Azamgarh, Lucknow, Bareilly, Etah, Fatehpur, Gautam Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Hathras.

In Bihar, clear weather is expected in cities such as Patna, Gaya, Champaran, Bhojpur, Madhubani, and Purnia.

Rain and Snow in the Hilly Regions

Heavy rain and strong winds are likely in Uttarakhand on February 16 and 17. The impact may be stronger in districts like Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, and Pauri Garhwal.

In Himachal Pradesh, the weather will stay clear for now. However, after February 15, cloud cover and snowfall are expected in the higher altitude areas.
