Today marks the start of a new week filled with important events. Holika Dahan will be celebrated on Monday, March 2. A lunar eclipse will occur on March 3, and the festival of colors, Holi, will be celebrated on March 4.

Before this festive period, the weather in many parts of the country is changing. There is still a slight chill in the morning, but temperatures are expected to rise quickly after sunrise.

According to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures in northwest and central India may increase by 4 to 7 degrees Celsius over the next five days.

Afternoons in the plains will see bright sunshine, and temperatures may reach 32 to 35 degrees Celsius. Weather experts believe this indicates the beginning of the summer season.

Chances of Rain in Several Regions

Cloud activity is continuing in some parts of the country. Light to moderate rain is expected in hilly areas and parts of South India on March 2 and 3. Heavy rainfall is also possible in the northeastern states.

Coastal regions may experience thunderstorms and strong winds. Meteorologists say this weather change is due to moist winds and a western coastal system.

In some places, waterlogging may occur, which could disrupt local traffic. Fishermen are advised to check the latest weather updates before going out to sea.

Western Disturbance to Affect Himalayan Areas

A new western disturbance is expected to influence the western Himalayan region starting March 4. Because of this, light rain and snowfall may occur in higher altitudes between March 4 and 6.

Overall, the first week of March will see changing weather conditions across the country. Farmers and the general public are advised to stay alert and follow weather updates
