Struggles Despite Discounted Tickets
On Tuesday, War 2 ticket prices were slashed to just Rs 99. Even with this heavy discount, the film couldn’t attract a large number of viewers.
It earned Rs 8.25 crore on day 6—slightly lower than its Rs 8.75 crore collection on day 5. According to Sacnilk, the total earnings of War 2 now stand at Rs 192.75 crore.
Ticket Price Drop: From Premium to Affordable
On opening day, War 2 ticket prices varied widely:
Regular shows in North India: Rs 180
Multiplex seats: Rs 250
Recliners: As high as Rs 2,620
Standard multiplex seats: Between Rs 300 and Rs 800
By Tuesday, these rates had dropped sharply to attract more viewers, but it didn’t lead to the expected boost in revenue.
Coolie Also Faces a Slowdown
Despite its better performance compared to War 2, Coolie also saw a decline in daily earnings. On Tuesday, it collected Rs 9.50 crore. As per Sacnilk, the film’s total collection reached Rs 216 crore.
Ticket Pricing Across Cities
Ticket rates varied across different regions:
Tamil Nadu: Opening day prices ranged from Rs 57 to Rs 200 due to government regulations.
Bengaluru: Luxury recliners were priced between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000.
Delhi & Mumbai: Standard tickets ranged from Rs 180 to Rs 500, while recliners in Mumbai went up to Rs 1,130.
Saiyaara’s Strong Run Slows Down
Another film, Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was released on July 18 and enjoyed a solid box office run. However, by its fifth Tuesday, collections had dropped to Rs 31 lakh, bringing the total to Rs 325.11 crore.

On Tuesday, War 2 earned Rs 8.35 crore across all languages, marking a slight 4% drop from Monday. With this, the film’s six-day nett total in India stands at Rs 192.85 crore, placing it just behind Coolie in overall collections.
