Volvo XC90 Facelift Debuts – One of the World’s Safest Cars! What’s New?

Swedish carmaker Volvo is set to introduce a new model. The company is launching its latest SUV today—the facelifted Volvo XC90. Known for its top-notch safety, the current model is already on sale in India.

Now, Volvo is bringing an updated version with fresh features and design changes. The front and rear of the car have been completely redesigned. Notably, this model was first unveiled globally last year.

The XC90 will be available in both 6-seater and 7-seater options. Originally launched in 2014, the SUV is finally getting a facelift after a long wait.

What’s New in the 2025 Volvo XC90?

The design has seen major upgrades, especially at the front. It now features a diagonal slat grille, and the LED DRLs have a Thor’s hammer look.

The front bumper has been modified significantly to improve airflow, and new alloy wheels may be introduced. At the rear, the SUV comes with LED taillights for a refreshed look.

Any Changes in the Interior?

Inside the cabin, the infotainment screen has been upgraded from 9 inches to 11.2 inches. Apart from this, there are minimal changes.

However, the new model may include frequency-selective damping technology to enhance ride comfort and performance.

2025 Volvo XC90 Powertrain

There are no major updates to the powertrain. All variants will continue with an all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, delivering a peak power of 247 bhp.

If the model includes hybrid technology, it will feature a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a total power output of 455 bhp.

The front axle houses a petrol engine generating 310 bhp, while the rear is supported by a 145 bhp electric motor paired with a 14.7 kWh battery pack.
